The Auditor-General for the Federation (AuGF), Mr. Anthony Mkpe Ayine, has today Thursday 21st June, 2018 submitted the 2016 Audited Annual Report of his Office to the National Assembly.
While submitting the report, Mr. Ayine acknowledged the existing cooperation between his Office and the National Assembly which he said had resulted in increased efficiency and solicited the continuous support of the lawmakers.
The AuGF thereafter, disclosed the content of the box presented to include four hard copies and two soft copies of the 2016 Audited Annual Report of the Office.
On his part, the Clerk to the National Assembly, Mohammed Ataba Sani-Omolori, while receiving the Report, thanked Mr. Ayine and his team for working tirelessly to ensure that the submission was done in record time, in spite of the many challenges encountered.
Sani-Omolori added that it was important for both institutions to continue to maintain a healthy, cordial working relationship in order to achieve more success, and praised the AuGF for his leadership style.
Speaking in a brief interview at the end of the submission exercise, the chairman of the 2016 AuGF’s Annual Report Writing Committee, Mr. Daniel Bosa, attributed the timely completion of the Report to the support of his team and expressed optimism that the 2017 Audited Annual Report would be ready before the end of 2018.
Details of the just submitted 2016 Audited Annual Report are expected to be made public in a few days.
